At the end of PS and CoS you will have 28 books, 16 cards, and 34 objects provided you do not have duplicates of things in your trunk and not including items you are not required to buy but are available for purchase in Diagon Alley. This list is in chapter order.

I can’t get to the Toast Flavored Bean and that Frog Card under the lamp. I’ve tried hovering my mouse over the lamp to get it to light up but that’s not working either!

Hi, I managed to find 38 objects when you stated above that we should have 34 by the end of chapter 4.
What objects do you have that are not on this list? Mind you might have duplicate objects causing your total to read different.
I strongly suspect you have a duplicate item causing an inflated total but you can check the full objects list here: http://elmgoestohogwarts.com/2012/04/18/objects/
And then let me know if you have collected something classified as an object not inventoried on that list.

I always make a reasonable effort to discover everything on my own… but it is almost as exciting to learn what other people have discovered and go re-hunt through the chapters to find the things you missed! I never thought to go back to chapter 1 with the hairpin. Will there be other locks to pick? Also I wish we got points for de-gnoming, so much fun! I can’t access the jelly beans in the moment harry is escaping or anything then, for that matter, or the Honklump juice! Can you specify on the juice and help with the beans?
The Horklump juice is in the corner of the garden that is attached on the left side of the burrow. You must be zoomed all the way in.
And have you found any beans at all in Harry’s room. And have you collected the chocolate frog card that is pinned under the lamp?
Can’t get this to zoom. and I just found another bean without getting to play the game. It’s making me crazy. I really want to play the games.

try a different browser, I had the same problem while using internet explore, when i switched to Google chrome I was able to play the game.
you have to hover over the lamp to turn the light on and when the room is lit up you can see the bean and frog card

Working on cumulative lists but I just did a quick tally for you. In total in your trunk there should be 28 books, 16, chocolate frog cards, and 34 objects. This bears in mind that one of the books you buy in Diagon Alley goes into spells not your trunk. Look for total trunk tally lists to come very soon.

The shed wouldn’t open for me and then I realized flash needed to be updated and then it opened.
Standard Book of Spells 2 by Miranda Goshawk is also found on the shelves in Chapter 4 Moment 4 I think.. Not sure, but I remember finding it.
You have to buy it in Diagon Alley. It’s in your shopping list. I will check but normally shopping list books can’t be collected in story. Sometimes they are found elsewhere to unlock Rowling info but that hasn’t happens yet in CoS. I will double check though!

Doesn’t do anything but sit in your inventory and look pretty. I’m collecting them now!
14.16m is my high for the gnomes.
What is the bonus for trowing the gnomes past the stump? Maybe I’m just not observant enough, but I don’t see a difference…
I don’t see a bonus from the stump. Aside from it saying how many times you got it past the stump. Lol.
I think the bonus is just the Gilderoy Lockhart book. If you don’t get any past the stump, you don’t get the book. I’m not sure if this true, though.
You get that just for passing the game.
Then maybe you need all four to pass the tree stump to get the bonus.

There is a wicker basks with green leafy branches hanging from it to the left and below the woman’s bun.
In Chapter 4, Moment 1, there’s a letter from Hermione on the left of the bowl and shopping list.
It is not a collectible object so I didn’t put it up here. Should I? :-/

when do you think we will be able to go to the place harry went in diagon alley in book 2? they are gambol and japes, knockturn alley, junk shop, quality quidditch supplies, second hand robe shop. they are all present in pottermore’s diagon alley, but are locked!!
I had hoped new shops would be unlocked with CoS. But if that is happening it has not happened yet. I was hoping for Quality Quidditch Supplies personally.
i think pottermore will probably open the stores in harry’s third year because thats when he lives in diagon alley alone.
in chapter 4 moment 3 there are 5 golden gallons in the drawer. a mask on the righ wall after 1 zoom and after 2 zoom there is a dragon liver in the bootles near the window

You don’t have to unlock “Draco Malfoy”. Some Exclusive Content is given automatically, without the need to click anything.
I actually suspect this is an error. During beta “Measurements” was glitched and unlocked without the news to click and now you click the light post. I suspect it will end up being you click Draco in the doorway to Borgin & Burkes in the future when they fix it.
Oh, I didn’t know that the “Measurements” thing changed. That was what I was referring to when I said some content is given automatically. Hmm. I also remember that sometimes, even when you don’t click and unlock it, it still gives you the content at the end of the chapter.
Yeah and it might be intentional sometimes. Just not sure. But so long as everyone gets the info!
I am pretty sure this is an error, because on the Draco Malfoy exclusive content page, the entire paragraph is there twice.
And the print is tiny! I’m not sure if it was supposed to just unlock and it was not there yesterday for the Slytherins. Not sure what to make of it.

Let them go on the upswing between 5 and 3 on the clock. Avoid the one closest to the wall, he’s hard to get over.

It is listed at the bottom of the list. The cupboard is locked until the end when you collect the hairpin and I put the list in chronological order.

Somehow I already purchased my second year books. I just clicked Diagon Alley then went to Flourish and Burks, and there was a second page.
They just unlocked them!
I seriously LOVE throwing gnomes. My best distance was 14.37! They seriously need to set up a gnome-tossing leaderboard!

I left a comment to that effect; if they’ve taken our suggestions about mini-games, maybe they’ll add the leaderboard as well. I did notice a little glitch – once I had the hairpin, I went back to Harry’s cupboard, and it was already open. Was I supposed to pick the lock, or just needed the hairpin to open the door.
I didn’t actively pick it, mine was open too when I arrived. Never got a handle on if anyone ever actually had to pick the lock or not.
Did you notice that the rooster crows when you mouse over the sun in the third zoom at the Weasleys?

Ahhhh! I have everything now! (How could I not have seen that scullery key!?!?! I went to the opticians YESTERDAY!) I just thought I’d say that I got the frog card and bean in the first chapter BEFORE I got the hairpin! …That’s why I couldn’t find a cupboard that opened – for me, it was open to start with!! No idea why! I’m happy I’ve cleared that up because I’ve been trying to open cupboards for a good few hours now! Lol!

First of all, your live blog was so much fun to read. Well done! And despite the fact that I had finished exploring the chapters even while you were working on the 1st Chapter, I still kept refreshing your live blog (just to see if I may have missed out on something). And it did come in handy – I missed out the Newt Scamander Chocolate Frog card while I was exploring, and I found it only after you mentioned it. So, thanks a lot!
Also, I realized that we actually had three cookbooks to collect (One Minute Feasts, Charm Your Own Cheese, Enchantment in Baking). Do you think we might actually get to cook this year? Then again, what’s the use of cooking such scrumptious meals if you can’t eat them, right? Can’t wait for the remaining chapters to be released. CoS is so much fun!!

A little bit of hacker magic? LOL. No seriously I was playing with links by changing the chapter number and moment number and ended up in the first moment of chapter five. But it does not load.
I just liked that it showed me in a chapter that wasn’t open yet so I left myself there.
Aw. Got my hopes up that maybe there was some secret to getting one more chap. I always thought the first 5 to start would be good, as that gets us to Hogwarts. Ah well.
Believe me if I knew a way I would tell you! I can see the splash pages at either end though and leave comments at the end of the chapter. LOL. A few people have done it now. But no moment load.
